Installation Guide

SHAH TV for LG webOS

Check the LG Content Store first. If the app is unavailable, use the Developer Mode alternative below.

Option 1 – Install from LG Content Store

    Open LG Content Store

    From the LG Home screen, open Apps or LG Content Store.

    Search for SHAH TV

    Use the store search and enter the exact app name SHAH TV. Store availability depends on model year, webOS version, country and rollout status.

    Install when available

    Select SHAH TV, choose Install, and add it to the Home screen if your television offers that option.

    Sign in once

    Use your Xtream username/password or SHAH TV 10-digit PIN. A successful login and the selected account are remembered on the TV.

Alternative installation

Option 2 – Guided LG Developer Mode Installation

Use a Windows PC when SHAH TV is unavailable in LG Content Store. The portable package includes the PC-side tools and guides you through the TV connection, installation and launch.

    Create an LG Developer account

    Create or sign in to the account you will use in the television's Developer Mode app.

    Install Developer Mode on the TV

    Open LG Content Store, search for Developer Mode, install it, and sign in with the same LG Developer account.

    Enable developer access

    Turn Dev Mode Status ON and allow the TV to restart. Open Developer Mode again, then turn Key Server ON.

    Find the TV connection details

    Keep the TV and PC on the same router. Note the TV IP address and the 6-character passphrase displayed by Developer Mode.

    Download and extract the ZIP

    Extract the complete portable installer folder on the Windows PC. Keep the included tools, dependencies and IPK together.

    Run the guided installer

    Double-click INSTALL_SHAH_TV.bat, enter the TV IP and provide the passphrase when requested.

    Let the installer finish

    The package registers the TV connection, transfers com.shahtv.tv_1.0.0_all.ipk, installs SHAH TV and launches it automatically.

    Keep Developer Mode active

    Extend the session before its timer expires. LG removes developer-installed apps when the session expires or Developer Mode is disabled.

Portable Windows packageThe ZIP includes Node.js, LG webOS CLI, required dependencies and the SHAH TV IPK. No separate LG SDK or command-line setup is required.

Playback supportUnsupported television codecs require a compatible source or server transcoding

Quick troubleshooting

TV cannot connectConfirm both devices use the same router, Key Server is ON and the TV IP is current
Passphrase rejectedRequest the current passphrase again in Developer Mode and enter it before it expires
App disappearedEnable Developer Mode again, renew the session and rerun the portable installer
Channel will not playTry another channel, restart the app and check whether the TV supports that stream codec
